Chevra Kedisha
Chevra Kedisha
The Chevra Kaddisha, also known as the Burial Society, is one of the greatest Jewish Mitzvot that a person can perform. It’s our responsibility to make sure that bodies of our loved ones are treated with care and respect. The Chevre Kaddisha perform a ritual called Taharah where they ritually clean the body of a congregation member. This includes ritually washing the body and dressing the body in a simple white shroud (tachrachim).. We always need volunteers to help with this meaningful work. If you would be willing to join our Chevra Kaddisha then please send Rabbi Abram an email at Rabbi@Frozenchosen.org or our Executive Director Moshe, at ED@Frozenchosen.org
