Burial Arrangements

CBS is fortunate to have an established relationship with both the Anchorage Cemetery and Evergreen Memorial Chapel (Janssen Funeral Homes).  Both of these organizations are well versed in our funeral and burial traditions and have proven to be valued partners for many years.

Evergreen Memorial Chapel provides us with the necessary space and supplies to prepare the body for burial.  They accommodate the requirements for both taharah (preparing the body) and shmira (guarding the body) and they also keep in stock the items necessary to do so, including kosher caskets.

CBS has an agreement with Anchorage Cemetery to keep and maintain a section for the burial of CBS members.  We currently have around 400 sites dedicated to our future needs.  They also provide an opportunity for members to reserve spots for those who wish to preplan.  They can be contacted at 907-343-6814 or Robert.jones@anchorageak.gov.
