Message from our President
Much of August’s board meeting’s work was about our 50th celebration. September begins the year-long marking of our congregation’s 50th anniversary. We begin Friday evening, September 12th at Shabbos services. Rabbis Polonsky, Rosenfeld, Wenger and Oblath will officiate. Oneg following services should be memorable, with all of us recalling the meaningful events which occurred over the years, celebrated in the heart of our community. Some reminiscing, some visiting with returning members. Saturday evening, after Havadalah, is a dinner. We hope you have made your reservations. Sunday at noon is the dedication of the new building. I want to thank the 50th Anniversary Committee for their hard work to bring an idea to reality.
The Board is looking for nominations to fill three positions on the board for next year. The election will be held at the November semi-annual meeting. Please send Ken Kugel know your nominations.
Volunteer of the month is Deb Ginsburg for leading services while the rabbi was on vacation.
The end of the month bring us to the High Holy Days and selichot, Saturday, the 20th at 6:30 p.m. May I extend to one and all a good year, a year of peace, and sholom.
